This week sees the release of the newest model to be added to the Avantgarde Skeleton Collection from Gresso.
If James Bond supervillain Goldfinger had a mobile, he'd want this. The Skeleton Gold phone is as ostentatious as it is expensive.
At $4,400 (£3,100) the phone is outrageously expensive. Gresso has catered to the luxury phone market with some extraordinary phones, but the new Skeleton Gold goes one step further than its predecessors.
The Skeleton Gold is bedecked in fine 18-carat Au, including covering the 23 function keys. The Skeleton Gold mobile phone also includes a QVGA screen which is aesthetically coated in 42k sapphire glass.
Additionally, the back of the handset includes a transparent sapphire glass panel. This is the signature feature of the device and will enable users to see and admire the inner mechanism of the phone.
The case is manufactured from a special titanium alloy with a scratchproof high tech ceramic cover. There is a magnetic lock on the battery cover.
Apart from the obvious aesthetic appeal, the Skeleton Gold phone is lacking in top-of-the range functions. The Skeleton Gold comes with a Windows Mobile 6.0 operating system, Bluetooth, MP3 Player and a 2MP camera. Internal memory is restricted to 2GB.
A phone like this however is bought for its exclusivity rather than its practical uses. Limited to just 50 samples, the Skeleton Gold will still be much sought after, even at the enormous price tag.
