Verizon Wireless is apparently getting close to introducing a consumer-oriented Windows phone from HTC, and many of the details on its version of the Touch Diamond have leaked out.
This device will continue Verizon's long habit of releasing products well after its competitors; the Touch Diamond phone debuted in Europe last summer, and Sprint introduced it in the fall.
Verizon's version will, naturally, have much in common with the ones from other carriers, but a few changes have supposedly been made: there's less RAM -- 128 MB vs. 192 -- and the 4 GB of internal storage have been replaced with a microSD card slot, upping the potential storage capacity.
Not all the details on the edition of the Touch Diamond have leaked out yet. There's no word on whether it will have Wi-Fi, for example. Support for this carrier's wireless broadband service is a given.
Also unknown is when Verizon plans to introduce this model, and what it will charge for it.
